Not really much of a Marvel girl, but if you have anything that I might enjoy from them, feel free to suggest! Hell, suggest any series and I'll give them a read. :)

PS - Can you tell that I *love* Batman?

How is Chimichanga? I love Powell's art and sense of humor but the only thing of his I've ever touched is GOON

Chimichanga is pretty funny and witty; I like it a lot! Basically, if you've read the GOON and loved it, you will like this as well! :) I've only read one trade volume of the GOON...I need to remedy that, since the animated series was announced.

Cool! I'll probably find some issues and check them out.

You could check it out! I've read all of it (apart from, err, Satan's Sodomy Baby) and it's fantastic.

You sure you're not thinking about the movie? Or is there also gonna be a cartoon :o

Oh derp, yes I was referring to the animated movie (http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/07/19/the-goon-teaser-footage-david-fincher-paul-giamatti-comic-con/), yes. I read that at like 3am, so I thought it was an actual animated series rather than a movie, lol.

I'd say read the Avengers series that just started up.

It's about the only thing from Marvel I really like at this point, although Hawkeye and Mockingbird is pretty good (but still feels too much like Marvel Green Arrow and Black Canary), Secret Avengers is meh, and Thanos Imperative is good but requires you to have like 20 years of Marvel Cosmic knowledge on hand to get anything out of it.

And Empowered and Scott Pilgrim, you should read those too.

I don't really care for much Avenger stuff...but I'll give it a try.

Haha, I guarantee that I won't read Hawkeye & Mockingbird for the same reasons you said. "Oh, Green Arrow & Black Canary are no more, let's re-do that with OUR ORIGINAL CHARACTERS DO NOT STEAL"

Empowered, I'm a bit apprehensive about, but since you really want me to read it, I'll give it a go. And Scott Pilgrim is probably the first out of these that I'll read!

Avengers is really just the basic ACTION SCENE - SET UP - ACTION SCENE comic I've been wanting to see for a while now. Take a bunch of power house characters, toss them into a team, and let them start belting it out with things.

I'm giving H&M a few more issues because the set up is decent and the characters are good, but I want to see it really break out of the mold. They were always the Marvel equivalent, and some would say they came before GA / BC, (they did, technically) but since that comic just ended it feels really too similar to it in the first few issues.

You really should read Empowered. Don't judge it by flipping through; I did that too the first time I saw it, then I went back to read it and regretted that I'd judged it so poorly to begin with.

And yeah, catch up on Scott! Oh, and also read Far Arden. That was good too.

Hm, I guess I'll give Avengers a try then.

Bleh, I still won't read it! And you can't make me. >:|

Alright, alright, I said I'd read it, so shush!

What is Far Arden about?

It's an adventure comic about a guy named Army Shanks and a supposedly mythical island called Far Arden in the arctic.

That's about all I can really say about it without giving the plot away.

Never really read anything Batgirl, though I've read some Batwoman in the Detective Comics. Have anything Batgirl-related to recommend?

lmao, anything? Gimme something to start with! :P

:)

I like the Lantern Cops guys too; I read Blackest Night, and I really liked it. I need to kinda catch up with all the Brightest Day stuff going on, but most of it has been kinda...bland. I guess it'll get good in a few more issues.

I started reading this series, Scalped. It's pretty good.

Astonishing Spider-Man and Wolverine has been really good, but if you're not a fan of either character...

What is Scalped about? :o

Spider-Man...I used to like him tons before, but now, to me, he's gone downhill...like most Marvel stuff, sadly. Kenji has most of the Invincible Iron Man stuff that sounds really good, so I'll probably read that. :) Wolverine though...probably not, lol.

I'm surprised you haven't echoed Scott Pilgrim, since you're the #1 fan! :P
